How To Prepare For Facelift Surgery?

Before the surgery, your complete medical history will be collected, and a facial examination will be carried out. You can discuss your expectations from the procedure during the consultation. You’ll also have to avoid taking any blood-thinning medications and herbal supplements at least 2 weeks prior to your surgery. You will be provided with in-depth pre-operative instructions to help you prepare for the procedure.

What to Expect During a Facelift

Before the procedure begins, you will either be given general or local anesthesia to numb the area. Incisions are then based on which technique is used. An incision for a traditional facelift will start from your hairline at the temples and continue around your ears to your lower scalp region. Recovery and Results

Bandages will be placed around your face to keep the swelling and bruising in check, and small tubes will be used to drain out excess fluid and blood. Once the swelling subsides, you’ll be able to see results that can last for up to 10 years. You will, however, be required to attend follow-up appointments and indulge in self-care practices to avoid developing any complications from the procedure.
